Originally from Iowa, Dr. Williamson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. She completed a surgery and sports medicine internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma, a renowned surgical referral center. Following her internship, she spent six years in Wellington, Florida, focusing exclusively on lameness and sports medicine for elite hunter, jumper, and dressage horses competing in the Winter Equestrian Festival. During this time, she also completed her course work in equine acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Florida.

Dr. Williamson's expertise encompasses lameness evaluation, diagnostic imaging, regenerative medicine, and acupuncture. Her practice emphasizes comprehensive care for equine athletes, ensuring optimal performance and recovery. She continues to work with high-performance horses, providing services both at her clinic and on-site at competitions.

Dr. Williamson and her husband, Dr. CJ Caniglia, have two children that make frequent appearances at the hospital and perpetuate their love of animals. Both doctors are passionate about equestrian sports and continue to train and compete with their horses when time permits.
